Hello my name is Rickey Juneau and I write the “Pool Solar Panels” Blog to help people like You make the right choices to pass to an energy efficient life.

I started my blog after a job reduction during the summer of 2009  crisis.  I work for a telecommunication company that fired hundreds of employees cause depression. I “feel lucky” because my company reduced “only” my working hours and my monthly income got lowered.

In 2007 I’ve bought an above the ground swimming pool for my son Jason to let him learn how to swim and enjoy the summer with his friends.

In summer of 2009, during the economic crisis, I was obligated to cut down most for our monthly expenses (grocery stores, travels, restaurants, dresses, etc…). I felt really guilty after looking at my son’s eyes when I had to tell him we had to disassemble our swimming pool.

My son suffers from asthma and can not swim in the pool with the water too cold. Our old pool heater was too expensive to maintain, so I searched news on the internet about how to warm up the swimming pool at a low cost.

After a little search using Google I’ve found a lot of information about cutting energy bills using solar pool heaters. So i sold our old heater and bought a new one.

Now Jason feels ok and will be able to play with his friends next summer without any other additional expenses to our low monthly income.
